Lotus Caterham Super Seven -
1978, 1.3L Ford Kent engine, 4 speed gearbox. This car has been built from GRP and alloy, with coil over rear springs.
Some info on the Seven:
The Lotus Seven was a small, simple, lightweight two-seater open-top sports cars produced by Lotus Cars (initially called Lotus Engineering) between 1957 and 1972.
It was designed by Lotus founder Colin Chapman and has been considered the embodiment of the Lotus philosophy of performance through low weight and simplicity. The original model was highly successful with more than 2,500 cars sold, due to its attraction as a road legal car that could be used for Clubman Racing
After Lotus ended production of the Seven, Caterham bought the rights to it, and today make both kits and fully assembled cars based on the original design

Lotus Eclat JPS - - 1978, This is a John Player Special 523 model. A very limited run of JPS cars were produced to commemorate Team Lotus's success with John Player Special sponsorship. These cars are very distinguishable by there black & gold livery. This car is undergoing a full body restoration and should be ready for sale end of April. Grab a piece of Lotus history
Some info on the Eclat
"
The Lotus Eclat was built from 1975 to 1982. It was based on the Lotus Elite but had a fastback body style which gave it more storage in the boot & smother lines. The Eclat Series 1 (1975-1980) used a 1973 cc 160 hp Lotus 907 Slant Four engine. Later cars (1980-1982) used a larger 2174 cc Lotus 912 engine, however, because of emission regulations modifications it still only produced 160 hp. Both were versions of the Lotus 907 engine, which was also used in naturally aspirated and turbo charged versions of the Esprit".
At the time they were the most luxurious and expensive Lotus road cars ever built.The body was moulded in two halves (top & bottom) from G.R.P. and the two halves joined at the cars waistline. The body is mounted onto a backbone chassis unit that carries the entire power train and suspension. A grill is placed onto the hood/bonnet area to allow cooling air out from the radiator. The roof has a built in roll bar, blended into the headliner just behind the drivers and passengers seats.
The interior design was done by the Italian designer Guigaro.
The suspension is 4 wheel independent, disk brakes on the front with inboard drum brakes on the rear.
There was a total manufacturing run of 2531 Elite's and 1522 Eclat's

Jensen Healey S2
- Registered May 1975, built 1974, Metalic Biaritz Blue (will be), 42000 mls, 2.0L Lotus 907 twin-cam engine.
This car is yet to be restored. We started the restoration in October but had to leave it to get 2 cars ready for Australia, We wont be able to finish it before Christmas but we will take expressions of interest. The engine work has been completed, we removed the funny looking air cleaner unit and fitted a nice pair of webber 3" pancakes with 1 & half inch pots inside. The carbs (twin Dellorto DHLA 40's) have had a service kit installed and sound brilliant. This car has to be one of the cleanest original Jensens I have seen, the paint has faded hence respray in metallic Biaritz Blue with 5 coat's of clear laquer. This Healey will be stunning.

Some info on the Jensen Healey
Design
With the demise of the Austin-Healey 3000, car dealer Kjell Qvale was looking for a new product to replace it. He entered into discussions with Donald Healey and Jensen Motors, who had built the bodies for Healey's Austin-Healey cars. Kjell Qvale became a Jensen shareholder and Donald Healey became the chairman. The Jensen-Healey was designed in a joint venture by Donald Healey, his son Geoffery, William Towns and Jensen Motors. It was hoped that Healey could help to contribute the sense of style that made the Austin-Healey a hit.
Engines and transmissions
Many engines were tried out in the prototype stage including Vauxhall, Ford and BMW units. The Vauxhall 2.3 L engine met United States emission requirements but did not meet the power target of 130 hp (97 kW). A German Ford V6 was considered but industrial action crippled supply. BMW could not supply an engine in the volumes needed so Jensen looked to Lotus who had a new, untested engine available. Thus all Jensen-Healey models came equipped with the then-new 1973 cc Lotus 907 engine, a two litre, dual overhead cam, 16 valve all-alloy powerplant. This setup puts out approximately 144 bhp (107 kW), topping out at 119 mph (192 km/h) and accelerating from zero to 60 mph in 8.7 seconds.
International variation
Vehicles for European distribution and sale contained dual side-draft twin-throat Dell'Orto carburetors; those exported to the United States had dual side-draft single throat Zenith Strombergs in order to meet emissions requirements. The oil cooler was absent in the earliest models.
The initial transmission was a four speed Chrysler unit sourced from the Sunbeam Rapier. Later a Getrag five speed was used. Interestingly on the five speed gearbox the fifth gear is not an overdrive gear but a direct 1:1 ratio.
Suspension and braking
Suspension was simple but effective with double wishbone and coil springs at the front, and a live rear axle with trailing arms and coils at the rear. Brakes consisted of discs at the front and drums at the rear. The suspension, steering gear, brakes and rear axle were adapted from the Vauxhall Firenza with the exception of the front brakes which were from the Morris Marina.
Interior
Jensen-Healey interiors started out austere and functional, with plastic centre consoles and all-black colour schemes. (Some earlier models do sport brown interiors, however.) Later, aesthetic extras such as wood grain and padding as well as air conditioning were added. 1976 Jensen GT models went even further by offering elaborate burr walnut wood dashboards and paisley-patterned seats.
